Kissinger, who was elected to council in 2015 and is running to retain his seat,
was instrumental in the city’s sale of the property to Marc Monnette.
“There were substantial voices in elected office that were against this idea and because of that, there was a fair amount of conflict over this matter,” Kissinger said. “I stood for what I believed was best for this community, for some of the reasons that were spoken here, not the least of which is the walkability issue as well as the support I had for Dale’s outdoor patio. I believe it is a quality-of-life issue and I strongly supported it then and I do today, as well.”
